Beastie Boys, the old school dogs who've kept on kicking, revealed today that Adam Yauch, bka MCA, has a form of throat cancer. The good news is it's "very treatable," not likely to effect his voice and comes with a high probability of full recovery. The bad news is, all the remaining festivals they've been set to headline this year (Lolla, All Points West and ACL) will have to do without them. Also, their new album Hot Sauce Committee Part. 1 has been postponed and will not be dropping Sept. 15 as planned. While we await further news, the Boys have leaked the anticipated collaboration with Nas, "Too Many Rappers" to keep all our heads in check. Get well soon MCA.
