Lupe took in an early screening on "New Moon" and penned this horrible mess after being asked to contribute to the teen vampire saga's second installment.
"Solar Midnight," the resulting rap-rock disaster, is the official iTunes bonus to the puzzlingly mature soundtrack.
I love Lupe, think he's one of the greatest, but this reeks of 16-year old tastes and boasts an unforgivable modern rock chorus. Lines are intricate, but it's bad ones like "I can see the truth in you even when you're lying and I can see the darkness even when you're shining" that sorely stick out.
