Black Star + Dirty Projectors - "History" on Fallon

The girls from Dirty Projies just kind of stand there singing the word "history" and not doing any sweet Beyonce dance moves, but this is still pretty great (Black Star reunion and all) and certainly one of the most unexpected collabs of the year. In any case, we probably have Solange to thank. Shout out to BK! Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Update: According to Questlove's twitter machine, The Roots first met Dave and the girls two months ago when the breakout band stopped by their studio and did some of their patented mind-boggling harmonies.

Slim Thug on The Daily Show, pt. II

Here's the resulting clip from the Wyatt Cenac-Slim Thug remote sessions.

Thug recorded a song about dealing with the recession, Jon Stewart's invaluable flagship gave it a launching pad via a funny clip that includes video girls holding W-4 forms.

It's kinda funny, mostly smart, kudos to Tha Boss for rolling with Cenac's idea.

How this came to fruition after the jump.

New Hov Rhapsody commercial "Legacy of a Hustla"

Jay teamed up with Rhapsody to put together one of the dopest promotional commercials by a rapper...ever. Not much competition, though. That said, I kind of wish it they would've done it in proper chronological order. Logistics, I guess.

Now if I could just get past this these Blueprint 3 jitters.

New Big Sean video "Getcha Some"

G.O.O.D Music's youngest member finally released the long awaited video for his first single. "Getcha Some" will be on Big Sean's debut album called, Finally Famous, which will be released by the end of this year.

The video itself seems like a new take on of same concept 'Ye used for the Good LIfe video, only with more Bape references.
